Healing Arts Receptionist


Position Summary

Reporting to the Healing Arts Manager, the Healing Arts Receptionist delivers exceptional sales and service to Healing Arts guests. This position is primarily responsible for checking in and greeting guests for their Healing Arts treatment; orienting guests and answering questions; answering phones and scheduling treatments; and handling transactions in the Healing Arts retail outlet. The Receptionist provides a welcoming, effective, and efficient service, while anticipating and exceeding the guest's expectation.

The Healing Arts facility at 1440 Multiversity has 22 treatment rooms. Additionally, it includes an outdoor hot tub overlooking the redwoods, women's and men's locker rooms with steam rooms in each, a quiet waiting area with indoor and outdoor patio seating, and a small retail area.


  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Maintain a positive, effective, and efficient work environment
  • Effectively and efficiently resolve customer concerns and refer major guest concerns to Healing Arts Lead, Supervisor or Manager
  • Collaborate with other team members in the areas of Guest Experience, Retail / Caf, Facilities, Housekeeping etc. to ensure a seamless, welcoming experience for guests
  • Work with Healing Arts Lead, Supervisor and Manager to meet measurable standards for service and sales
  • Proactively communicate with staff and guests to anticipate issues and problem solve
  • Must be professional in actions and appearance and provide a welcoming presence
  • Maintain best practices for record retention and privacy in relation to medical information, minor information, and consultation information
  • Must be able to learn and follow policies and procedures on cash handling, registering and check-in with 100% compliance
  • Attend and participate in training and staff meetings
  • Must be able to follow safety and emergency procedures
  • Develop knowledge of products used and for sale in retail outlet
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned

Essential skills and experience

  • Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on active listening
  • Solid ability to learn and use new computer programs
  • Demonstrated success in problem solving and the ability to collaborate with others to find a solution
  • Must be able to follow safety and emergency protocols
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Willingness to take on responsibility within the framework of a team
  • A commitment to a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Bilingual a plus
  • Ability to be physically active for duration of shift, lifting, bending, and/or moving heavy objects in excess of 20 lbs. as needed
