Position Summary

Reporting to the Sous Chef, Stewards passionately model Kitchen Table's mission of providing fresh, vibrant, and nutritious food that creates a delightful dining experience. Stewards will maintain an inviting dining and serving environment and ensuring cleanliness of all areas of Kitchen Table.

Accountabilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of dish area
  • Assist in cleanliness and maintenance of Kitchen Table spaces such as walk-ins, service area, storage units, restrooms, dining area, patio etc. Including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, removing trash, wiping counters, etc
  • Ensure all utensils, glassware and cups are available and stocked for the guest assisting the food and beverage attendants as needed
  • Ensure all kitchenware and cookware is cleaned properly and available for cooks to use
  • Assist in the organization and distribution of orders to the proper storage space using FIFO methods
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships and communication within and outside of the department
  • Follow the service standards in line with the 1440 Multiversity Cuisine Profile and the organization's vision, mission and values
  • Follow sanitation protocols set by F&B leadership Assist in bussing tables, cleaning and resetting the dining room
  • Ensure all bus carts and dish storage is clean and sanitized
  • Accountable for following all SOP's (Standard Operating Procedure)
  • Able to give and receive professional feedback
  • Other responsibilities as needed to support the F&B operation

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Follows all company safety and security policies and procedures, reports maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; completes safety training and certification
  • Have a current California Food Handler's Card
  • Excellent people skills
  • Work with a sense of urgency
  • Demonstrate experience and knowledge in impeccable front of house service standards, preferably in a large-scale dining environment
  • Experience providing an excellent guest experience, including creating loyalty and repeat customers
  • Proven ability to build successful relationships with both superiors and colleagues
  • Affinity with 1440 Multiversity's mission and core values
  • Demonstrate experience in and enthusiasm for process improvement
  • Highly collaborative, flexible team player, keen to engage in positive, supportive, professional relationships
  • Able to work 8-10-hour shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Able to lift 50lbs
