Named for the number of minutes in a day, 1440 Multiversity is a new kind of immersive learning campus built in the Northern California redwoods. Part personal retreat, part conference center, and part wellness resort, our campus is nestled between Santa Cruz and San Jose. Our on-campus programming features weekly, weekend, and daily classes in health and wellness, mindfulness, creative arts, nutrition, personal growth and professional development including team building and corporate training. Production Associate

The Production Associate will work with the supervisor and the team to complete event set up for all programs, events, classes, conferences, meetings, and various other scheduled campus events. The Production Associate will ensure that every presenter has all needed supplies and logistical assistance to have a smooth program, and that the event is set to expectations including partnering with Food & Beverage, Audio Visual, Housekeeping and Events. This position is an important logistics and customer service role, assuring a high level of service and satisfaction are delivered to faculty and program assistants so that they can support their program guests.

Essential Functions

  • Under the direction of the leadership, utilize systematic processes to provide and ensure excellent production support and customer service to all faculty, as well as staff and teachers. 
  • Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and assistants when coordinating all program supplies and support. Communicate effectively with production team, utilizing all relevant communication systems to support production requests efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Interact with faculty and guests in a warm, flexible manner.
  • Gather all feedback, concerns, and helpful insight, observed or reported, while supporting faculty, guests, and programs. Report these directly to leadership.
  • Assist leaders with identifying additional opportunities for upgrades and production improvements.
  • Evaluate and maintain all rooms and supplies regularly, and make recommendations for additional supplies and equipment that would be beneficial to programs and our campus. 
  • Assist with proactively keeping track of all supply inventory. This includes ordering replacements, obtaining supply maintenance and keeping supplies clean and organized.
  • Special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work days, evenings, weekends.

Skills and Experience

  • Ability to be physically active, including walking and standing for duration of 8 hour shift, repeatedly lifting, bending, and moving heavy objects (chairs and tables) in excess of 50 lbs. as needed.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a desire to build great relationships and impressions to guests.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Strong orientation towards 1440 Multiversity's mission and core values and bilingual a plus.
  • Work with a sense of urgency.
  • Highly collaborative, flexible team player, keen to engage in positive, supportive, professional relationships.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a desire to serve the program needs of faculty, program assistants, guests, and staff.
  • Ability to be highly reliable and take ownership for all needed program support.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Ability to problem-solve and provide faculty support with minimal guidance.
  • Bilingual a strong plus; ability to drive a company vehicle (golf cart), with valid US driver's license strongly preferred.
